Meet Your Legislators:
Please call ahead for an appointment with your legislators. You can do this as an individual or as a group from your parish or town, by calling the numbers below to schedule a meeting. The office staff will probably ask you the topic(s) you wish to discuss during your meeting. You should inform them you are in
Hartford attending Catholic Awareness Day and provide them at least one issue, stating there may be some others by the time the meeting actually occurs. If you have questions or need assistance please call the Connecticut Catholic Conference at 860-524-7882. You may schedule a meeting with your legislator for anytime during the event.

You do not have to schedule a meeting with your legislators to attend the event. Please feel free to show your support for the work of the Church by attending the workshops and hearing the Bishops address the issues facing our State. Your attendance, as a sign of support for the Church and its works, is very important.
Note: Buses from the
Norwich and
Bridgeport dioceses may be provided if participation and demand warrants it. Please register early.
Event Timeline:
1. Buses will run from St. Thomas Seminary, Bloomfield, to the
Legislative
Office
Building from
9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
2. Upon arrival at the
Legislative
Office
Building you will be directed to the appropriate meeting room. Following a greeting and opening prayer, the workshops will begin. Staff will be available should you have any questions. Note: During the morning the Bishops will be meeting with the Governor and General Assembly leadership.
3. Workshops: 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (Capitol - Old Appropriations Room)
The introduction of these workshops will include background on the legislative process and the Connecticut Catholic Conference Advocacy Network. Note: Lunch will be provided.
