The Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference urges parishes to hold a meet the candidates forum during the election season. These events provide an opportunity for members of the community to understand where the candidates stand on various issues. The best times to hold a forum is in late September or throghout the month of October. If there are  several parishes in your town, then you may wish to make it a cooperative event for all the parishes. Of course, all members of the general public are welcome to attend. The event can be sponsored by any group, even a school PTO, within a parish. 

 

You are urged to schedule the event as soon as possible, to avoid calendar conflicts the candidates may have as election day approaches.
